The EASYZON® Dd chlorine dioxide system is designed for the on-site production of chlorine dioxide for the disinfection of drinking water, process water and wastewater. Chlorine dioxide is highly effective as a disinfectant and is virtually unaffected by the pH value. Due to its pronounced residual effect in drinking water, it is particularly suitable for extensive pipework networks.
The system operates according to the acid-chlorite process using hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite. Chemicals are dosed via dosing pumps fitted with calibration cylinders, back-pressure valves and pulse flow monitors. The pressure-resistant reactor is housed in a protective cabinet. At the reactor output, the chlorine dioxide solution produced is pre-diluted with water via a static mixer and then fed to the point of use or, in the appropriate version, into the batch tank.
The control system monitors the dosing and the flow rate of the dilution water and signals critical operating conditions. Various external signal inputs and outputs are available for integration into higher-level control systems. These include signal relays, 4–20 mA inputs and outputs, and RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces.
Capacity levels ranging from 18 to 1,478 g ClO₂/h at 4 bar are available to meet different requirements.
