Guaranteeing constant motive water pressure
Motive water sets are pre-assembled fittings in various configurations used together with booster pumps to guarantee constant supply pressure for chlorine gas injectors. The most important part of the motive water set is the pressure reducing valve. The valve counteracts all pressure fluctuations in the booster pump that arise due to a fluctuating feed pressure or fluctuating extraction from multiple connected dosing systems.
The pressure reducer is equipped generally with an integrated strainer and a pressure gauge displaying the reduced pressure. Besides the standard configuration with built-on shutoff valve, a configuration with additional solenoid valve or motor ball valve can also be delivered. This configuration is required if you want to stop the supply to the injector without stopping the booster pump at the same time.
A configuration with an additional PVC non-return valve is used often to prevent chlorinated water from reaching the fittings when the system is stationary.
