Reduction of excess pressure in vacuum lines The safety valve prevents a vacuum builds up in a pressure line system, which could otherwise lead to undesired chlorination. It opens at the lowest excessive pressure and discharges the piping system. The end of the blowdown pipe is run near the gas sensor.
