No More Carrying and Spillages: Mobile Pumps for Agriculture

Wertheim, 16 October 2025 – drums tipping over, dosing chemicals by hand, sweating over a heavy hand pump: all this costs time and effort in the agricultural sector. Lutz Pumpen will present three solutions to this problem at the Agritechnica 2025: the cordless screwdriver-driven LubeDrive filling tool, the B2 mobile battery-driven pump for pesticides and the B3 battery-driven drum pump for diesel, oil and AdBlue (hall 3, stand D20).

Filling the central lubrication system of agricultural machinery with lubricating grease – whether a tractor or a harvester – is one of the most unpopular jobs in the agricultural sector. “Many farmers are looking for technical solutions that will enable them to perform their lubrication tasks more quickly and easily”, says Andreas Rössler, sales manager at Lutz Pumpen. The solution: Lutz LubeDrive, an innovative new filling tool. This is an eccentric screw pump tube that can be driven with a standard cordless screwdriver. “It makes the pumping of lubricating grease easier, as farmers are no longer required to use hand pumps or pneumatic pumps with heavy motors”. Users are also no longer tied to pneumatic connections and become more mobile. The system can be used with all commercially available lubricating greases up to NLGI-3 and achieves delivery rates of up to 2 kg/min. The pump can also be used to fill gear oil.

Transferring chemicals safely with less effort and no spillage

The handling of pesticides, fungicides and other chemicals is a further time-consuming task associated with many risks for farmers. “The need to make transfers between canisters, hobbocks and drums often requires a great deal of effort, carries an increased risk of spillage and is almost impossible to perform in small quantities”, says Rössler. “The B2 pump set makes this task significantly easier and safer”. A battery-driven motor drives the pump, which conveys low-viscosity acids, bases and chemicals from the container and through a hose to the target container”. An infinitely variable speed controller allows the delivery rate to be controlled so that small quantities can be transferred and filled accurately. “Using the B2 pump set saves time, reduces the level of physical effort required and enables farmers to avoid the risk of spillages whilst tipping or pouring from canisters, hobbocks and drums.“

No trip hazard from a cable: the B3 battery-driven pump simplifies the transfer of diesel, oil and AdBlue

Lutz Pumpen will be also be showcasing a solution for the simplification of the filling and dosing of diesel, oil and AdBlue for agricultural machines at the Agritechnica 2025: the B3 Battery Aluminium pump set. This is a drum pump weighing only 1.2 kg. Its battery-driven motor obviates the need for farmers to provide an external power supply. It is also cordless, so there are no cables to pose a trip hazard. It is also cordless, so there are no cables to pose a trip hazard.

A single battery charge is enough to empty a 200-litre drum 14 times in c. 15 minutes. A 1,000 litre IBC can be emptied 5.8 times in just under 51 minutes using only a low revolution speed. “The B3 Battery enables us to present a battery-driven drum pump that provides a comparable level of performance to cable-powered version“, explains Rössler.
