Suction pulsation damper S
Avoidance of pressure fluctuations at high pressures
Dosing pumps are oscillating positive displacement pumps that generate a pulsating flow due to their design. These pulsations can lead to high pressure peaks. These pressure peaks can lead to excessive stress on the system pipework and, in the worst case, to pipe breakage. Pulsation dampers are used to prevent this stress. Certain processes that require low-pulsation dosing also benefit from the use of pulsation dampeners. The suction pulsation dampener is installed on the suction side of a dosing pump. It provides damping of acceleration mass forces and thus effectively reduces wear on the dosing pump.
