The chlorine supply and pressure must be monitored constantly in chlorination. The tanks filled with liquid chlorine are under saturated steam pressure depending on the prevailing temperature. Chlorine tanks in chlorination systems, particularly in industrial applications, could be exposed to impermissibly high temperatures. It is therefore advisable to monitor the cylinder pressure so that the heating can be switched off in time and the temperature reduced.
